  • Uploaded Content: When you submit a Job Request, you may upload Photos and Videos (the "Content"). This Content is stored in the Company's database and associated secure storage systems. This media is used to assess the job, provide accurate estimates, and document the "before/during/after" conditions of the work. By submitting Content, you grant the Company the right to use this media for service fulfillment, internal documentation, training, and quality assurance.

  • Usage Data: We automatically collect data such as your IP address, browser type, and login/logout timestamps for security, troubleshooting, and site performance monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: To process your Job Requests, communicate service timelines, provide quotes, and facilitate access for the handyman to perform the work. This includes using your Uploaded Content (photos/videos) to diagnose the issue, assign the job, and document the work completion.

  • Customer Service & Communications: To respond to your inquiries, support requests, and address any issues related to the service or the Portal. This specifically includes sending transactional SMS alerts regarding your ticket status (e.g., Assigned, Completed) and critical account notifications (e.g., password resets/2FA) if you have opted in.

  • Security & Fraud Prevention: To protect our services and users from unauthorized access, fraudulent transactions, or any illegal activity.

  • Internal Operations: For reporting, record-keeping, billing, and ensuring compliance with our legal and contractual obligations, including using the uploaded media for internal training and quality control.

3. How We Share Your Information

We only share your personal information as necessary to provide our services and manage our business:

  • Handymen & Contractors (Tech/Admins): We share your Service Request Data and Uploaded Content with the specific, authorized handyman or contractor assigned to fulfill your job request.

  • Third-Party Infrastructure: We use third-party cloud infrastructure to host our database and manage user authentication. Your email and password hash are stored securely by these providers.

  • SMS Communication Provider: When you opt-in for SMS notifications, we share your mobile number and necessary ticket-related details with our third-party messaging service provider (such as Twilio) for the sole purpose of transmitting service updates and alerts.

  • Payment Processors: When you pay the Service Fee, we share necessary transaction data with our third-party payment processing partners. We do not store full payment card details on our Portal or database.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a subpoena or legal process.

SMS Opt-In and Opt-Out

By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box during ticket submission, you are providing your express consent to receive service-related text messages from TOLEDO HANDYMAN. You understand these messages are strictly transactional. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Replying HELP will provide assistance. Opting out will not affect your ability to use the Portal for service submission via email.

  • Data Retention: We retain your Service Request Data and Uploaded Content for as long as necessary to provide the services, document the completed work for warranty and insurance purposes, and comply with legal obligations.

  • Security Measures: We implement reasonable technical and administrative security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, and modification. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
